Oh, I wish everyone would stop whining about the weather. You don't hear me complaining about the fact that on our second to last day in Boston it was 93°F (33.9°C) and my deranged and/or demonic mother and younger nephew made me walk around in hellish conditions for five or six hours, do you? And you don't hear me moaning about the temperature in my bedroom, which was 28.6°C (83.5°F) when I got up this morning and 34.6°C (94.3°F) when I got home tonight at 7:30 pm and 31.1°C (88.0°F) as I'm writing this at 10:22 pm, do you? And you don't hear me grumbling about the need to pour myself into a human-shaped mold every morning and crawl into the freezer for several hours so that I solidify enough to be able to ride my bike to work rather than oozing my way there like a scene from The Blob, do you? Well, do you?

You know maybe it'll come back to bite me in the tuckus with some sort of hip-deep snow and meat-locker conditions all this coming winter, but I've got to say I'm glad you, at least, are not whining. This is summer in St. Louis all the freaking time.
My house is a bit cooler this morning, but last night was bloody hot. Not that I'm complaining.
PS - last night I dreamed you blew up a dam. This has nothing to do with your post, I just wanted you to know my sub-conscious has you pegged as an environmental terrorist.
glug glug glug
I am a walking talking liquidation sale.
No, I do not.
And since the last time you mentioned The Blob, I've had it on my Netflix list. Perhaps it needs to move up a bit.
hi there! I just accidentally found your new blog from an old link in my ancient (and still uncompleted) 365 list. I've recently started working on the 365 blog again (and a few other blogs too). I can't wait to explore your blog and catch up. Always good to bump into an old friend!
I admire your resolve. Because I WOULD complain if the temperature in my bedroom was 28.6 when I woke up! Or 31 deg at bed-time. I'd think I was dying. And my husband would have.
Grumble away. You have my sympathy.
The Blob should arrive tomorrow at my place.
On our tour of Oberlin College yesterday it was in the 90's and the tour guide, who is from Bahrain, asked us if we really thought it was hot, because she thought it was a pleasant day.
How was it Indigo?
It's in the house. I hope to start watching it today if/when I get to work out...I am really looking forward to it and will report back.
Dear Helen:
I loved The Blob.
Especially the last lines:
Lieutenant Dave: At least we've got it stopped.
Steve Andrews: ...Yeah, as long as the Arctic stays cold.
Yer friend,
Indigo
Uh-oh, Al Gore forgot to mention that in An Inconvenient Truth.
That Al.
