A History of Music for Dum-Dums

I went to a History of Music for Dum-Dums concert on Saturday night where we participated in composing an aleatoric piece; learned how to make a renaissance crumhorn using a straw from McDonalds; were told that “fa-la-la” in madrigals is the musical equivalent of writing #(*$&@#(&$#@; and the choir sang this.

My husband plays in a recorder group, and one of the members has a crumhorn. Apparently, it's always little bit off key.
