Passport photos. In my passport that just expired, I look like a snarling terrorist. I didn’t think it was possible to have a worse picture taken. As it turns out, anything really is possible. Even the photographer grimaced and gave me a sympathetic smile.

I hear you. I'm sure I'm the only person in NZ glad that our passports only last 5 years. I'm tempted to lose mine and get a new one sooner. Though now you're scaring me that my next one might be worse.
Why, oh why, are ID photos so hard? And why can't people just keep taking them til a good one exists? Haven't we gone digital?
Possibly there is no longer a good one to be had.
I was 8 months pregnant for my last one. I didn't think my face could be that round. I mean, like a soccer ball kind of round. Oy.
